Apple Chips

Why does “an apple a day keep the doctor away?” With a variety of shapes, colors, and flavors, apples are packed with phytonutrients and antioxidants that help reduce your risk of different diseases including cancer, diabetes, and heart disease.

Ingredients

  • 3 Apples (such as Honeycrisp, Fuji, Jazz, or Pink Lady)

  • 3/4 tsp. Ground Cinnamon

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F.

  2. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

  3. Wash and core apples.

  4. Leaving the skin on, slice apples horizontally into rounds.*
*NOTE: the thicker you cut the longer it takes to bake.

  5. Arrange the apples in a single layer on the prepared baking sheets.

  6. Evenly sprinkle cinnamon over sliced apples.

  7. Bake for approximately 1 hour.

  8. Turn each apple slice over and continue baking for an additional 1 hour.**
**NOTE: leave in longer for crispier chips.

  9. Enjoy!
