Why does “an apple a day keep the doctor away?” With a variety of shapes, colors, and flavors, apples are packed with phytonutrients and antioxidants that help reduce your risk of different diseases including cancer, diabetes and heart disease.
– 3 Apples (Honeycrisp, Fuji, Jazz, or Pink Lady)
– 3/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 200°F
Step 2 : Line two baking sheets with parchment paper
Step 3: Wash and core apples
Step 4: Leaving the skin on, slice apples horizontally into rounds
**Note- the thicker you cut the longer it takes to bake.
Step 5: Arrange the apples in a single layer on the prepared baking sheets.
Step 6: Evenly sprinkle cinnamon over sliced apples
Step 7: Bake for approximately 1 hour
Step 8: Turn each apple slice over and continue baking for at least 1 hour
**Note- leave in longer for crispier apples
